There are two other resources that are typically accessible for individuals who are pursuing the development of a business. SCORE the "Counselors of America's small business owners". SCORE provides mentoring and business advice online, local community mentoring through a local office resource, and workshops online and on site.
http://www.score.org The second support available in most communities is Small Business Information Centers. Most of their supports and services are offered at no cost to the community. The SBIC are usually partners with the city, county, SCORE, and other special interest groups relating to economic development. SBIC serves start-up and or exisitng small, minority and women-owned businesses by offering information, workshops, indiviudal business and financial counseling, and they typically will have a business resource library to include access to a computer. A calendar of events is usually published.
